Slow Movement, the philosophy of engrís
What does the Slow Movement entail? What does this philosophy stand for?

Philosophy
The Slow Movement is a cultural movement that advocates a change in current lifestyles towards slowing down and enjoying life more. It aims to promote taking control of time instead of submitting to its tyranny. It values increasingly difficult activities such as socialising or walking and its aim is to find a balance between the unbridled advancement of the world and recovering those moments of calm.
"We live counting minutes and seconds, instead of living them" says Carl Honoré , movement guru, in his book.Origin
The Slow Food movement was born in Rome in the 1980s when a group of activists protested the opening of a fast food restaurant in a historic square in the city. Later in Paris, the company's logo was designed. This is the snail, which graphically represents its commitment to a slow, sustainable, full and more humane life.

Slow Movement
Although one might think that the Slow Movement advocates a sedentary lifestyle, it advocates the opposite: doing activities and making the most of free time. After “slow food”, new groups appeared, applied to other aspects of our lives such as work, education, health, leisure, which would end up constituting all the areas of influence of “slow life”, which thousands of people around the world have joined.
Slow Jewels
At engrís we have adopted the Slow Jewells philosophy. Imbued with the ideals of the Slow movement, we have created our jewellery taking care of and enjoying the entire process. From the design of the pieces, their production and their assembly, everything is done in a 100% artisanal way and with natural and sustainable products. All our collections, Paquare , Riad, Organics and Malecón are produced in workshops in our city where all the creation processes of the pieces have been carefully reviewed.
